The Arkäse Story

Experts in specialty cheese, we at Arkäse are a small group of people passionate about creating healthy, high-quality food. 


We built our cheese factory in the village of Arcuș, Covasna County, 3 km from Sfântu Gheorghe, with the desire to produce cheese from fresh local milk using Swiss technology. The Arkäse factory was completed in May 2022, and the first production was carried out.

The cheese aging process is automated and carried out without human intervention, being managed in safe and easily monitored conditions by a programmed robot. The cheeses are aged for a minimum of 8 weeks, thus developing a rich and full flavor.


Speaking of values, we consider ourselves hardworking people with an honest attitude towards work, who appreciate simple and high-quality things, the experience of a carefully prepared feast, and time spent together close to nature. The processed and manufactured products have been awarded the optional quality label "Mountain Product."


At Arkäse, we aim to achieve the supreme quality of Swiss cheeses starting with the freshest cow's milk.
